School board president stepping down Dec. 31

Trotwood-Madison City School District Board of Education President Adrienne Heard is resigning from the school board effective Dec. 31, 2017. The remaining Board members must begin the process to replace Heard, and name the replacemen­t within 30 days. The newly appointed school board member will serve until Dec. 31, 2018.

Heard was an integral part of the leadership team. She served on both the Finance Committee and the District Leadership Team.

Citizens interested in being considered for appointmen­t to the Trotwood-Madison City School District Board of Education should contact Janice Allen, Treasurer, at 937-854-3050, Ext. 1137, for an applicatio­n.

According to the Ohio School Boards Associatio­n, people serving on school boards in Ohio must be district residents and registered voters. If they wish to continue serving on the school board, they will stand for election in the next general election.

The board will review all applicatio­ns and decide on the replacemen­t during the month of January.

Applicants should submit a completed 2-page applicatio­n and a resume no later than Jan. 22, 2018 to: Janice Allen-Treasurer, Trotwood-Madison City Schools, 3594 N. Snyder Road, Trotwood, OH 45426. Indicate on the envelope: Applicatio­n for Member, Board of Education.
