■ O’Neil & Associates ,an employee-owned company that develops technical publications, training and related materials, was recently honored with a Patriot Award from the United States Department of Defense. Presented by the Wisconsin Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the award publicly recognizes individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees.
Anthony Fox, site manager of the Oshkosh regional office for O’Neil and an 18-year employee of the company, accepted the Patriot Award at a Dec. 13 ceremony for his extraordinary support of employees serving in the Wisconsin Guard and Reserve. Fox was nominated for his support of the state’s Guard and Reserve by Sgt. Nathan Frank, an O’Neil technical writer and active member of the Wisconsin National Guard.
In fact, more than 40 percent of the company’s workforce has prior military service. Due in large part to the company’s long-standing relationship with Oshkosh Corp., O’Neil employs current and former military members with experience using Oshkosh Corp. products to create instructive manuals.
Paramount to ESGR’s mission is encouraging employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who bring integrity, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian workforce.
