The Cincinnati Bengals have hired Frank Pollack as their offensive line coach.

Pollack coached the Dallas Cowboys offensive line from 2015-17. He replaces Paul Alexander, who coached the Bengals offensive line from 1995-2017.

While Pollack was signing his new contract in Cincinnati, Alexander was in Dallas interviewing with the Cowboys.

Pollack was the assistant offensive line coach in Dallas from 201314, and before that he spent one season as Oakland Raiders offensive line coach (2012) and five seasons as the assistant offensive line coach with the Houston Texans (2007-11).

He began his coaching career at his alma mater Northern Arizona in 2005 and worked there through 2006.

Alexander interviews: Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive line coach Paul Alexander interviewed for the same position with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, according to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Alexander spent 24 seasons with the Bengals, including 23 in a row as offensive line coach, before head coach Marvin Lewis announced last week he would not be returning.

Named assistant head coach in addition to offensive line coach in 2003 when Lewis arrived, Alexander worked under four Bengals head coaches. He will turn 58 next month.

He began his NFL coaching career as tight ends coach in 1994 under Dave Shula.

London not calling: The Cincinnati Bengals were candidates to return to London for a game in 2018, but that will not be happening after the NFL announced Thursday which six teams will be making the long trip.

The Seattle Seahawks will play the Oakland Raiders on Oct. 14 in the first of three London games. The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a matchup of playoff teams Oct. 21 or 28. And the Tennessee Titans will face the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 21 or 28.

The Chargers were required to “host” a game in London due to the fact they are playing in a temporary stadium, and the Bengals will play a road game against them in 2018. In addition to the mandatory appearance by the Chargers, the NFL wanted to feature teams who had not yet played in London. The Titans, Eagles and Seahawks will be making their first appearances overseas.

The Bengals tied the Redskins 27-27 in London in 2016.
