Jack Cleveland CLEVELAND —

Casino is adding an electronic gaming “arena” that will include table games, giant video displays and a live D J.

The Synergy Table Games area, which the casino calls a “modernized approach to gaming” is aimed at younger gamblers. It will be installed on the first floor, next to the Legends Bar, and will open by March.

Virtual gaming will continue to be offered at the Rock Bar, a 2,000 squarefoot virtual gaming center and lounge that opened on the second floor in 2014.

A similar gaming center will be built at Jack Cincinnati Casino.

Each casino will have 28 electronic play stations with 27-inch video screens and multi-game capability, all situated in a space reminiscent of a stadium. From a single-play station, players will be able to connect to automated and video generators as well as live dealer tables that deliver roulette, craps, blackjack and baccarat games. The arenas will also feature custom lighting, a D J booth and video wall that displays each game’s progress and statistics. Players can play socially with friends while messaging one another.

The new area will provide another way for people to gamble and draw players who may not have felt comfortable playing regular table games, said Aleksandra Koryzno, communications manager for the Cleveland casino. It may also draw new gamblers to the casino.

The arena will not replace any slots or table games so will provide additional revenue. The casino’s annual revenue has declined each year since it opened.

Synergy Tables Games were introduced at Greektown Casino-Hotel, Jack Entertainment’s property in Detroit, in late 2016.

“Synergy Table Games has been successful at our Detroit property and we are confident that our Ohio guests seeking a more interactive and social gaming experience will enjoy it as well,” Brian Eby, executive vice president and chief innovation officer for Jack Entertainment, said in a news release. “The electronic table games arena is perfect for both established and new players as it allows new gamers to get comfortable with gaming at their own pace and challenges our experienced gamers to play multiple games at a time.”

Other additions at the Cleveland casino include slot machines that allows guests to order drinks directly from their seat. The company also recently launched the ClubJACK App and installed technology into high-limit gaming areas. Instead of a plastic player’s card, guests can use their virtual card on the app, which is connected to the slot machine through a secure USB port.

The technology will be installed on all slot machines in the future.
