Groups helping kids finalize merger

- STAFF REPORT STAFF REPORT

As of Jan. 1, Warren and Clinton counties are a part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati.

After working together for more than a year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warren & Clinton Counties and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati held a joint fundraiser. The success motivated discussion of how to best serve kids and the community.

The boards and staffs determined the merger will enable the organization to improve and expand youth mentoring in Warren and Clinton counties, eliminate more than $30,000 in costs and increase the impact of supporters. Big Brother Big Sisters of Warren & Clinton Counties’ Board of Directors voted to dissolve as an agency and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati’s Board of Directors voted to expand its service area.
