County highway system decreases a little

Miami County’s highway system had a total of 423.531 miles in 2017, a decrease of 0.019 miles, according to the annual Engineer’s Office County Highway System Mileage Certification for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The certification was approved Feb. 8 by the county commissioners. The decrease in miles was attributed to an annexation of property along McKaig Road from the county into the city of Troy, the commissioners were told. NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER
