Freshman Isaiah OXFORD — Coleman-Lands came off the bench to score a career-high 17 points as four Miami players reached double figures as the RedHawks snapped a four-game Mid-American Conference losing streak with an 84-81 upset of East Division champion Buffalo on Tuesday night.

Freshman Nike Sibande scored a team-high 21 points, 13 in the second half and one short of matching his single-game career high, and Dalonte Brown added 17. Junior Darrian Ringo had 11 points with six assists as the RedHawks (14-14, 7-8) knocked off the team that handed them their worst conference loss of the season (82-66) at Buffalo on Jan. 13.

“That was our fourth (MAC) game,” Coleman-Lands said after the game. “We weren’t as together as we were (Tuesday). The chemistry and knowing where we were on the court was a big part of it.”

First-year Miami coach Jack Owens was impressed by how his team shook off four straight losses by a combined 16 points to thrill the crowd of 1,870 with the come-frombehind win.

“That was just a war – two teams battling it out,” Owens said. “For us to win this game and the way we finished the game; I’m just happy for the guys. I told them in the locker room that they deserved this win. We were one or two possessions away in the last four games.”

Coleman-Lands set his sin- gle-game career high with five 3-pointers, two during a 16-3 RedHawks run that left them
