Resonant Sciences wins $100K grant
Defense technology firm Resonant Sciences was awarded a $100,000 grant from the Greene County Department of Development and the Greene County Community Improvement Corporation.
The grant, awarded through the Economic Development Incentive Program, will enable Resonant Sciences to buy equipment that will lead to more specialized contracts, according to a news release from the county department of development.
According to its website, Resonant Sciences, located at 3975 Research Blvd., specializes in the design and manufacture of antennas, radomes and composite structures, and has a proven ability to transition hardware from laboratory prototypes to real-world fielded hardware.
Since 2015, more than $600,000 has been awarded to Greene County businesses through the EDIP program.
“The EDIP grant program is just one of many tools used to promote economic development, business expansion and job creation for our businesses in Greene County,” said Paul Newman Jr., director of development for Greene County.
EDIP grants are typically awarded to projects that will lead to job creation, and include a significant capital investment.
Projects that have already begun or retail-sales related projects are not eligible for EDIP grants. The deadline to submit an application is April 2. Visit https://greenecountydod.org/.
