Colleges and universities looking for prospective students and businesses looking to fill jobs will be showcased at the Greene County College and Career Fair, set for Monday.

The event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Greene County Career Center, 2960 W. Enon Road, Xenia.

Parents and high school students are invited to check out local colleges and universities such as Wright State, Central State, Ball State, Ohio Northern, Clark State, Sinclair Community College and the Hondros College of Nursing.

In addition, businesses looking to hire will be on hand, including Ali Industries, TP Mechanical and JD Equipment Inc.

“This is a great opportunity for parents and high school students to meet with employers as well as local colleges, universities and tech schools under one roof,” said Dave Deskins, superintendent of the Greene County Career Center.

This is an opportunity for graduating seniors to learn more about continuing their education at a two- or fouryear school, said Matt Owen, executive director of the Fairborn Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Students looking for a trade school such as MECA/ Dayton or Dayton Electrical JATC will have an opportunity to meet with them as well,” Owen said.
