Engineers Club seeking applications

- STAFF REPORT

The Engineers Club of Dayton is seeking applications for the 2018 Order of the Engineer Induction at the Club at 7:30 p.m., March 16. The Club is an authorized “Link” in approving induction applicants in the regional science, technology and engineering communities in industry, universities, technical organizations and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol (a stainless steel ring) identifying the engineer. Any engineer and many scientific and technical degreed persons are eligible for induction if he or she has graduated from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) program or holds a license as a Professional Engineer in the United States. Students enrolled in EAC of ABET degree programs are eligible if they are within one academic year of graduation. Other candidates may be considered eligible because of equivalent credentials or experience.

To apply, complete the form “Application for Induction to the Order of The Engineer” available from the Club (937-228-2148) or download at http://www.clubrunner.ca/ecod/. Download is available on right side of Home Page. E-mail the e-version to one of the contacts shown on the right, or mail to: Chairman, Education Committee, Engineers Club of Dayton, 110 E.
