Volunteer opportunities blossom in springtime

-

Spring is an exciting time of year in the Volunteer Office at the City of Kettering! It’s time to recruit volunteers to help with all of the activities and events scheduled to take place this summer.

If you have a little time in the evenings, enjoy working outdoors and like to meet people, why not consider helping at Fraze Pavilion? Adult volunteers greet guests with a warm smile, help direct folks and assist with item check.

If you’re available during the day, we have many opportunities to work with children at our summer camps. All camp volunteers need to be at least 14 years of age. Camps run all summer. We will work to accommodate your schedule. Volunteers can help all summer, or a week or two. This is an excellent way for students to earn service hours for National Honor Society, graduation or faith-based requirements.

Looking for something to do on weekends? Our award-winning Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department hosts a multitude of family-oriented activities and special events that take place weekends and evenings. These events serve as a perfect opportunity for groups looking for ways to give back to our community.

It’s easy to get started. Just visit www.ketteringoh.org to complete a volunteer application or call the Volunteer Office at 296-2433. We would love to have you join our amazing team of volunteers!
