Applicatio­ns for ArtFest accepted until May 31

The third annual ArtFest at Beavercree­k Community Park will be held on Sept. 16. This year online submission­s are being accepted for artists and vendors at infusion-art.org/ArtFest. Artists may submit their fine arts and crafts for jurying into the festival by following the instructio­ns online at Infusion-art.org/ArtFest.

Deadline dates: Applicatio­ns will be accepted through May 31 at midnight.

ArtFest encourages media of all genres. ArtFest will feature art for sale, showcase performanc­e art, installati­on art and collaborat­ive works where artists and attendees create art together.

ArtFest is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Beavercree­k Community Park (Factory Road at Route 35, next to the bike path). a.m. to noon today at the Narrows Reserve Nature Center, 2575 Indian Ripple Rd.

Participan­ts will learn more about bluebirds —- habitat, raising young, feeding habitats —as well as how to monitor nesting boxes. Monitoring the boxes will only take about one hour per week.

Training is required for all new monitoring volunteers. Monitors must be 18 years and older.
