Commissioners OK request for camera

Miami County commissioners Wednesday approved a request by the contractor for the Kettering Health Network’s new Troy Hospital to place a camera on a county-owned building to monitor project progress.

Chris Johnson, county facilities director, told commissioners Danis Construction sought permission to place the camera on top of the Hobart Center for County Government, which is located across Adams Street from the construction site.

The camera would capture the project progress, allowing monitoring and, in the end, provide a historic time lapse view.

The request required nothing from the commission beyond its permission.
