Gatheringtoremember Kessler set forJune22

A gathering of friends of Tipp City Fire Chief Steve Kessler, who diedSaturdayathishome, isscheduled June 22, from 4-7 p.m. at the Monroe Township Building in downtown Tipp City.

Kessler, 73, was with the fire department 50 years, serving as chief the past 20 years.

HewasagraduateofTippecanoe High SchoolandOtterbeinCollege. A Navy veteran, he retired from Tip Top Canning after 38 years.

Contributions may bemade to the Safety First Fund, established by Kessler through the Tipp City Foundation. The fund supports public safety initiatives in the community.
