Ross is the president of Bob Ross Auto Group, a second-generation leader of the area’s 44-year business where she accepted that role in 1997.

The Trotwood Police Department recently received accreditation renewal by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) and was awarded the Accreditation with Excellence and the Meritorious Award for having 15 continuous years of accreditation — the gold standard in public safety.

The renewal was accompanied by the commission’s praise for the department’s “excellence in addressing the intent of CALEA standards beyond compliance.”

CALEA accreditation is verified by a team of independent CALEA assessors, who carefully examined the department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and administrative services for compliance with 484 CALEA standards.

Chief Erik Wilson believes that CALEA compliance sets the benchmark for public safety professionalism, and commends all members of the Trotwood Police Department for their role in maintaining a high-level of professionalism.

This is the department’s sixth accreditation award since its initial award on March 22, 2003.
