Soaring ceilings, skylights, large windows, etched-glass front door, a circular floor plan, updated kitchen and bathrooms are just some of the highlights to the redesigned contemporary home.

Listed for $299,900 by Irongate Inc. Realtors, the cedar-sided two-story at 6391 Shadow Lake Trail has about 3,300 square feet of living space. The house sits on a cul-de-sac within the Hidden Hills subdivision of Centerville. The planned unit development includes a swimming pool, tennis courts, common area pond and bicycling trails.

The property includes a common area, extra offstreet parking, a wraparound wooden deck with built-in bench seats and a three-car, side-entry garage.

Formal entry opens through a detailed etchedglass front door into a twostory foyer with tiger-wood flooring and an open staircase with a skylight above. Diamond-shaped and tall windows add to the natural lighting.

A hallway from the foyer leads to a private theater room with a full wall screen and projection system. There is a built-in storage cabinet for the electronics and the window has blackout blinds.

The next room off the hallway is a study with hardwood flooring, a built-in desk or cabinet nook and a sliding-door closet. This could also be a fourth bedroom. Across the hallway is a half bathroom with pedestal sink.

There is access to the three-car garage and the utility room has a wash tub, ironing board, laundry hook-ups and the home’s mechanical systems.

Another walkway from the foyer leads directly to the living room, which has a brick, wood-burning fireplace with wood mantel surround and artwork nook. A vaulted ceiling allows for two walls to have angular built-in shelves and media center.

Off the living room is a sun room, which has three skylights, a triple box window and patio doors that open to the deck. The sun room is open to the formal dining room, which has a vaulted ceiling.

The kitchen has been updated with light cherry cabinetry with some hanging cabinets having bubble-glass doors. A stainlesssteel hood vent is above a cooktop and is the centerpiece to the kitchen. Subway tile accents the wall space between the cabinetry and the gold-fleck granite countertops. There an oversized single sink and stainless-steel appliances that include two wall ovens and a dishwasher. A pantry cabinet has roll-out shelves.

The open staircase wraps around to the balcony hallway that leads to three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The main bedroom is at the end of the hallway. The bedroom has a walk-in closet, a door that opens out to a covered balcony deck, and French doors that open to a bonus room currently set up as an exercise room.

The private bathroom has been updated with a tall double-sink vanity with built-in drawers and cabinets.

There is a linen cabinet and an extra deep soak tub with waterfall feature. A separate room has the walk-in, ceramic-tile shower with seat.
