The Trotwood-Madison City School District Board of Education has announced the appointment of Michael R. Andrews as its newest member, who was sworn in on June 2 1, 2018, at Trotwood-Madison City School District Board of Education business meeting. President Denise Moore, Vice President Vane s sa Jeter-Freeman, and members Myra Bozeman and Norman Scearce III welcomed him to his new position.
Andrews will fill the balance of the position on the Board of Education that was vacated by the resignation of Boyd Hastings, until Dec. 31, 2109. He will serve as a liaison on the Trotwood-Madison Educational Foundation committee.
Andrews is a long-time resident of Trotwood and retired from the Trotwood-Madison School system in 2011 after 30 years in elementary and middle school education. He received his B.S. in Elementary Education from Central State University, and a Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Since retiring from education, Andrews has served as a Team Leader for NASIC at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The Dayton/Montgomery County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) welcomes Auvis Cole as the new Director of Sales & Services. Cole, who grew up in Dayton, comes to the Dayton CVB from the Rock Hill/York County CVB in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he most recently served as the vice president of sales. He spent eight years there in a variety of positions, and prior to that was the executive director of the Union County Tourism Commission in Union County, South Carolina.
Cole has a bachelor of arts in communications from Central State University and an MBA from Wright State University in international business and marketing. He fills a vacated position at the Dayton CVB and will lead a team of four sales managers.
myCUmortgage® has announced that Wendy Kull joined the organization as the new credit union development manager, fulfilling the final piece of myCUmortgage’s realignment of its sales and service organization. myCUmortgage is a leading Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) and is wholly owned by Wright-Patt Credit Union.
As the new credit union development manager, Kull is responsible for growing the number of credit unions that partner with myCUmortgage for lending and servicing products and solutions. She will accomplish this by successfully developing new relationships in order to discover the credit unions’ mortgage lending needs and presenting the benefits that a partnership with myCUmortgage brings to address those needs.
Kull brings 18 years of experience in the finance industry to myCUmortgage. Prior to joining the CUSO, she was the Correspondent Lending Manager for Union Savings Bank. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business from Miami University.
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Dayton has announced the promotion of Lisa Shemo from business office manager to business office director.
Shemo has been with Haven since April 2017 serving as the business office manager. Prior to Haven, she worked for Good Samaritan Hospital and Mercy Health Systems, where she held several positions in customer service, hospital billing, collections, financial counselor, principal trainer and consulting as a revenue cycle liaison, all while building and maintaining collaborative relationships.
Shemo holds several EPIC Software Certifications specializing in Revenue Cycle and Hospital Billing applications related to System Build, Training and Implementation. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University.
