Target ‘Drive Up’ option comes to Ohio this week
Pickup option will be available in some Ohio stores this week.

Target’s “Drive Up” service allows customers to order items from the Target app and pick them up from their car at designated locations in a store’s parking lot. The service provides in app notifications and emails when an order is ready to pick up, according to the retailer.
This week’s 200 store expansion means Target’s “Drive Up” service is available at more than 800 stores in 25 states.
The retailer is planning to expand to more cities in August with a goal of offering the service at around 1,000 Target stores by the holiday season, according tot he company.
The first Ohio market to get the service is Columbus, just more than an hour from Dayton.
Target has not released the locations it plans to add “Drive Up” to this year. Target has six locations across the greater Dayton area, according to the company’s website.
Parking lot pickup has become a popular option at stores across the Dayton region.
Kroger, the largest grocery provider in the Dayton area, has offered its ClickList online ordering service since November 2014 but increased the programs footprint to more than 1,000 locations by December 2017. Of the 44 supermarkets in the Dayton area, 12 offer ClickList services.
Even smaller retailers like Dorothy Lane Market, with locations in Springboro, Washington Square and Oakwood, are getting a piece of the action. In February 2017, the company launched DLM Drive-Up, allowing customers to pick up groceries ordered on the company’s website.
