Additional funds needed for paving program

Troy City Council will be asked to increase the amount of money to be spent on this year’s city paving program.

Council’s streets and sidewalks committee agreed Monday to recommend the full council increase the amount authorized for the program from $832,000 to $1,032,000.

The amended program would include $1 million in street paving plus the $32,000 to pave the senior citizens parking lot and a cemetery driveway.
