Romania’s Simona Halep, currently the world’s topranked ladies player, came into the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon on the heels of her first Grand Slam title at the French Open after losing in the final at the Australian Open. Will she be left standing today for the ladies final of the Wimbledon Championships? Yet another question is that of Serena Williams and her continued attempt to come back after her pregnancy.

The title holiday could mean a new romantic interest for the present-day Alex (Bobby Moynihan) in “Thanksgiving,” as Darryl and Wendy (Jaleel White, Tia Mowry) use the occasion to set him up with an appealing woman (guest star Sarah Burns). In younger years, Alex (Jack Dylan Grazer) is thrilled when Nori (Reylynn Caster) attends his family’s Thanksgiving dinner, even with her brother in tow. The older Alex (John Larroquette) finds himself caught between Eleanor and Kelly (Sharon Lawrence, Vanessa Williams). Another episode follows.

Following the ratings success of its documentary on the Menendez brothers — and of television’s true-crime genre in general lately — ABC News re-examined another infamous case, largely revolving around the August 1969 murders ordered by cult leader Charles Manson. Actress Sharon Tate was among the victims, and though Manson and several of his followers were given the death penalty, the sentences were commuted under revised California law to life in prison.
