The Miami University Regionals Artist Series will present eight live music shows in Hamilton and Middletown as part of the 20182019 season. The line-up includes a variety of popular performers, such as Over the Rhine, Shawn Colvin and Dailey & Vincent.

“This is a solid lineup. We are excited about the overall star power. So far, it’s looking like our supporters agree. Ticket sales have been robust, and we’re picking up new season ticket buyers. Some folks are buying double season tickets for all eight shows. That speaks well for the overall series. Feedback we’ve received so far indicates there’s a ‘wow factor’ associated with this lineup,” said Perry Richardson, director of the series.

Blue Highway will open the concert season with traditional, original bluegrass on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Parrish Auditorium in Hamilton. Blue Highway has collectively earned 27 IBMA awards and garnered three Grammy nominations, including a recent nomination for Best Bluegrass Album of 2017. Tickets are $28 for adults and $26 for seniors, faculty and staff, students and children 12 and under.

Richardson said four of the eight acts will be making their first appearances here — Shawn Colvin, Over the Rhine, Leftover Salmon and The Subdudes. Colvin also has a special Meet-andGreet ticket package available through the Miami University Box Office that includes some really cool autographed memorabilia.

“Our ticket prices are affordable, both venues are comfortable, and we have plenty of close-by free parking at Parrish and Finkelman. There’s not a bad seat in either house, and the sound and lighting are excellent. It’s just a great entertainment experience,” he said.

Other performances at Miami Hamilton’s Parrish Auditorium include John McEuen & The String Wizards presents: Will the Circle Be Unbroken on Saturday, Oct. 27; Over the Rhine on Saturday, Feb. 23; and The Ruth Moody Band on Saturday, April 13. Ticket prices vary. Miami University Hamilton is located at 1601 University Blvd. Concerts will be held inside Parrish Auditorium.

“I can’t wait to present Over the Rhine for the first time in Hamilton, Ohio. The entertainment scene in Hamilton is really hopping,” Richardson said.

Cincinnati’s iconic Over the Rhine will perform as an acoustic trio, including strings, piano and the group’s signature vocals. Tickets for this show will go on sale on Oct. 1.

Tickets are $30 for adults, $28 for seniors, faculty and staff, students and children 12 and under.

All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. at both locations with the exception of the Shawn Colvin show in Middletown at Dave Finkelman Auditorium on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. As a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist, Colvin has won three Grammy Awards, released 11 albums, and her songs have been featured in major motion pictures. She received the Lifetime Achievement Trailblazer Award at the 2016 Americana Honors & Awards Show. This will be a solo acoustic show. There will be an opening act and Colvin t the stage at 8 p.m. Tickets are $28 for adults and $26 for seniors, faculty and staff, students and children 12 and under.

To round out the series in Middletown at Dave Finkelman Auditorium, Dailey & Vincent will continue the season on Friday, Nov. 2; Leftover Salmon will take the stage on Saturday, March 2; and The Subdudes will follow on Saturday, March 30. Miami Regionals’ Middletown campus is located at 4200 N. University Blvd. Concerts will be held inside Dave Finkelman Auditorium.
