ActorWahlb­erg plans Chevy dealership in capital city

Actor, producer and business man Mark Wahl berg is partnering with veteran Chevy dealer Jay Feldman to launch his first car dealership in Ohio.

MarkWahlbe­rg Chevrolet will open in Columbus. The dealership was formerly known as Bobby Lay man Chevrolet at 3900 W. Broad St. Feldman andWahlber­g have been friends for several years and became partners in a Wahlburger­s restaurant in Cleveland.

After discussing the idea for several months, a Chevrolet dealership became a natural next step for their partnershi­p. Owning a Chevy dealership adds toWahlberg’s portfolio of business interests that includes a movie production company, a health and wellness company, a water line with music mogul Diddy and a Wahlburger­s restaurant chain that is currently franchised in 14 U.S. states and Canada.

“Iamcontinu­ously looking for ways to innovatemy brand and engage in businesses I am passionate about,” Wahlberg said in a statement. “I love cars and the chance to work with an experience­d, proven dealer-operator like Jay and represent an iconic brand like Chevrolet inspired me to get involved.”

They plan to open additional dealership­s together in the future.

“Joining forces to sell and service Ch ev role ts with the magnetic draw of the Mark Wahl berg name allows us to do something special for the state of Ohio,” Feldman said in a statement.
