A 10-yearold CENTERVILLE — deaf and autistic boywas found alone around the city of Centerville, andpolice say the boy’s father could be facing charges because the child has left the home several times this month, wandering the streets byhimself.

According to John Davis, community relations offifficer for the Centerville Police Department, for the second time in a week, offifficers were contacted about the welfare of the boy.

Around 6 a.m. Thursday, someone spotted the boy alone near Stingley Elementary School offffLindenDrive, more than a mile away from his Revere Village Court residence.

Davis saidthe boy’s father, Anthony Combs, 45, was takeninto custody; however, he was no longer listed as an inmate at the Kettering City Jail on Fridaymorning.

Combs and his wife, Katrina Combs, 42, were chargedJuly14 after thesame boy was found wandering in the area of the Kroger on South Main Street.

“This is actually the fififth time this month that the boy has been found away fromhome,” Davis said.“We charged the father after the fourth time.”

Due to the child’smedical condition, the danger of him being somewhere unsupervised poses a danger to his well-being, and that is something that led Children Services to get involved.

“The child is no longer in thehome,” Davis said. “Children Services is working on a safety plan with the family to implement in order to keep the boy safe.”

He added that, if the environment at home is found to be safe and the parents show they can execute the safety plan effffffffffffectively, then it is possible that the boy will be able to return home.
