The two-story located in the Willow Brook Estates of Washington Twp. recently has had living space added with the finishing of the basement. Mature landscaping surrounds outdoor living space, and a bonus room allows for a possible extra bedroom or upstairs family room.

Listed for $368,000 by Irongate Inc. Realtors, the brick-and-cedar home at 1199 Walnut Valley Lane has about 3,520 square feet of living space plus the basement. Recent updates include the installation of a gas, forced-air furnace and central air conditioner in 2011, exterior paint, irrigation system and the finishing of the basement.

Formal entry opens into a foyer with a hardwood floor that continues down the hallway into the breakfast room and kitchen. To the left off the foyer is the executive office with a full wall of built-in bookcases, cabinetry and desk. There is a dual-sided, gas fireplace with an arched cutout above. The other side of the fireplace has a raised hearth and fluted mantel and can be enjoyed from the family room, which has a built-in bookcase and crown molding.

The combined kitchen and breakfast room have hardwood flooring, oak cabinetry and granite countertops. An island has gas cooktop. There are double wall ovens, a pantry cabinet and pantry closet, a planning desk with hanging cabinets and granite top. Access to the formal dining room with its double tray ceiling is off the kitchen and the foyer.

The breakfast room has a bay bump-out with a glass door that opens to the deck and paver-brick patio.

Upstairs are four bedrooms and a bonus room. The main bedroom has a tray ceiling. The private bath has a double-sink vanity, a whirlpool tub below a box window, a walk-in fiberglass shower and a walk-in closet.

At the end of the upstairs hallway is a bonus room with updated carpeting, angled ceiling and side window. There is also a back staircase that leads down to the short hallway off the kitchen where the laundry room and access to the garage is located.

A door from the breakfast room opens to the hidden stairwell to the basement, which has been semi-finished. The basement has been divided into a recreation room on one side of the stairwell and a hallway that leads to a storage room and an exercise room. The basement is plumbed for a half bathroom. Walls and flooring have been finished and the basement ceiling has exposed canister lighting and floor joists that have been painted.
