The Clothes That Work board of trustees has appointed Cindy Garner to the position of executive director. Previously, Cindy served as the organization’s associate director of development and marketing.
Garner brings more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to her new role. Prior to Clothes That Work, she served as a development officer for Muse Machine, and she chaired the board of trustees at Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm, where she presided over its $3 million capital campaign and construction of the Farm Discovery Center. She is an active member of the Garden Club of Dayton, was co-chair of the City of Oakwood Centennial Legacy Committee, and before moving to the Dayton area, she served as a legislative assistant for the Virginia General Assembly.
Stephanie Keinath, public policy and economic development director at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, has been selected by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives to study education attainment along with 20 chamber of commerce professionals from communities throughout the United States.
The Fellowship for Education and Talent Development is an immersive executive development program that provides chamber of commerce professionals with education and tools to improve the birth-to-career education pipeline in the communities they serve.
Throughout the yearlong program, participants are required to develop a regional action project that focuses on addressing specific education attainment or workforce development issues in their communities.
The program is designed to advance a chamber of commerce’s already-defined education attainment goals and ultimately help the business associations nationwide build replicable programs and processes.
State Farm welcomes agent Carrie (Williams) Lifer to its family of good neighbor agents in Lebanon. The Lifer agency, 1248 Columbus Ave., Suite 5, officially opened its doors on Wednesday. Lifer is retur ning to Lebanon where she opened her first State Farm office in 2008.
Lifer brings 17 years of insurance and financial services experience to her agency, having worked for State Farm in the company’s claims department and in agency leadership. She also maintains an agency in Centerville, Ohio.
Prior to joining State Farm, she received her degree from the Muskingum University where she majored in business, economics and psychology, and played softball. During her time with State Farm she has continued her focus on personal development by acquiring her CLU, ChFC and RICP.
Lifer’s office includes four staff members: Tawney Webb, Leslie Pressel, Derek Kalback, and Paula Frommeyer. All are well prepared to help customers with their insurance and financial service needs.

Jonty D. McCoy, DC, certified chiropractic sports physician, has joined Premier Orthopedics. McCoy graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic and completed his residency at Airrosti Support Center. He is board certified in physical therapy and chiropractic sports care.
He is one of one a few chiropractors in Southwest Ohio to hold the certified chiropractic sports physician designation.
McCoy joins Premier Orthopedics at its new location at 1911 N. Fairfield Road Suite 140 in Beavercreek. He sees patients ages 12 and older for chronic and acute joint and muscle pain resulting from car accidents, pregnancy, and work and sports injuries. He focuses on correcting musculoskeletal pain by emphasizing strengthening and conditioning exercise plains, complemented by chiropractic adjustments. W. David Salisbury, University of Dayton Sherman-Standard Register professor of cybersecurity management, has been tapped as the first leader of the university’s new Center for Cybersecurity and Data Intelligence, which was established to enhance the cyberhealth of the Dayton community with a lead gift from Premier Health.
Salisbury, who helped create and now administers the cybersecurity course sequence in the University of Dayton’s School of Business Administration, specializes in examining criminal and terrorist uses of information technology.
In addition to his cybersecurity work, Salisbury has researched information technology influences on small group interaction, managing organizational knowledge and prices in online markets.
In addition to Premier Health, the center’s partners include the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education and CinDay Cyber Corridor, which work to increase the pipeline of students pursuing cybersecurity careers, and the Dayton information technology trade association Technology First.
Christie Schmitz, FNPC, is joining Upper Valley Internal Medicine, a practice of the Premier Physician Network. Schmitz received her bachelor of scie nce a nd nursing from Regis University, a nd her masters of nursing and family nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati.
