Man charged after police pursuit
A man in custody after a pursuit that ended in Dayton early Thursday morning has been identified.
Gary Lee Davis, 50, was booked into jail on suspicion of failure to comply, resisting arrest and obstructing official business, records show. Formal charges are pending.
The pursuit, which involved officers from Dayton and Moraine, started in Moraine after officials attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a license plate violation around 1:15 a.m, according to officials.
A Kettering K-9 was called to the area of Randolph and McCall Streets, where the pursuit ended, to assist officials in catching Davis once he reportedly fled the vehicle.
Davis was evaluated at a local hospital prior to being taken to jail, police said.
Davis also had several outstanding warrants for other traffic violations, jail records showed.
