Great Performances, 10 PM on Ch. 48; 11 PM on Ch. 16; 2 AM on Ch. 16 and Ch. 48:

“Chicago Voices” is just what the title of this new episode indicates ... an array of vocal talents singing in tribute to the Windy City and its artistic culture at Lyric Opera, with renowned soprano Renee Fleming as host of the program. She also performs in the concert, as do Tony-winning Broadway star Jessie Mueller (“Waitress”) and several Grammy winners: rapper Lupe Fiasco, folk icon John Prine, pop-gospel artist Michelle Williams (also of Destiny’s Child fame) and jazz staple Kurt Elling. “Empire” stars Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett also appear.

The Killer Closer, 10 PM on ID; 1 AM on ID:

Among the Los Angeles Police Department detectives of the Foothill Homicide Unit, it was Lindy Gligorijevic who earned the moniker “the killer closer” for her determination to give her murder victims a voice. She revisits some of her most shocking cases from the 1990s in this new true-crime series, starting with “Roadside Homicide,” which begins as the body of a dead woman is found in the back seat of her burned-out car.

Henry Rollins: Keep Talking, Pal, 10 PM on SHOW; 5:30 AM on SHOW:

Formerly best known as the lead singer of the punk rock group Black Flag, the sometime actor and author also flexes his muscles as a storyteller in occasional spoken-word shows that find the outspoken Rollins holding forth on a wideranging series of topics comprising everything from politics to American culture at large. Much of it is funny, while some bits seem designed to provoke a strong response, whatever it may be, from his avid audience. This new one-hour special was filmed at one such event.
