LEBANON Board volunteer sought
Mental Health Recovery Services of Warren and Clinton Counties (MHRS), the local board of alcohol, drug addiction and mental health services, is seeking a community volunteer from Warren County to fill an appointment on its board of directors.
Appointments are for four years. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 212 Cook Road, Lebanon.
MHRS is required by law to plan, fund, and monitor and evaluate a system of services for residents with mental and emotional disorders and/or substance addictions. MHRS’ mission is sharing hope and caring to achieve recovery from mental illness, alcoholism, and drug addiction.

LEBANON ‘Things That Go’ Aug. 26
The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold “Things That Go,” a free community event, on Aug. 26. The event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will feature numerous community and commercial vehicles.
Fire trucks, police vehicles, heavy equipment, emergency vehicles, school buses, delivery trucks and so much more will be on display. Adults and children will be able to climb behind the wheels, honk the horn, and speak with the men and women who operate the equipment.
The event will be held at the Warren C. Young Center, 801 Drake Road.
The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities supports more than 1,800 individuals with disabilities and their families through Early Intervention, Adult, Employment, Residential, Therapy, and other support programs.
