Volunteers key to review nominations for awards
The Neighborhood Pride Program has been, and continues to be, a treasured award for Kettering property owners.
Now in its 30th year, the program honors residential property owners and business owners who have made significant improvements to their properties, or who have maintained their properties impeccably year after year. This program is coordinated through the city’s volunteer office along with a team of 25 dedicated volunteers.
This year, 458 award nominations were received. The program divides the city into 12 districts with a residential property owner and a business property owner being awarded in June, July and August.
In recognition of the award winners, Mayor Patterson will present the property owners with a certificate at the Sept. 25 city council meeting.
