Jim Carrey shows up in new drama on Showtime

- By Chuck Barney

Don’t miss: “Kidding” — Both hilarious and heartbreaking, this new drama series starring Jim Carrey is like nothing else you’ll see on television this fall. Carrey plays Jeff, aka “Mr. Pickles,” a Mr. Rogers-like icon of children’s TV and a beacon of kindness. But when his family is struck by tragedy, and his marriage unravels, he struggles to cling to his sanity in a cynical and ruthless world. The stellar cast also includes Frank Langella, Judy Greer and Catherine Keener. (10 p.m. Sunday, Showtime).
