- CONTRIBUTED

The Arts Alliance will present the 13th annual FallFair Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Cottell Park. The festival will showcase over 50 local and regional juried artists, local performing arts groups, children’s art making tent, community art making project, The Arts Alliance’s Painters Exhibition, art work auction, performing arts, and a selection of food and beverages.

The festival, located at Cottell Park, 5847 Irwin Simpson Road, is the backdrop for this free event.

The FallFair Arts Festival will feature this region’s most talented fine artists and craft makers. From painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, wood working, glass and metal work, the artists will display their work in their individual tents on the property of the park. All of their work is for sale. Many artists will demonstrate throughout the day.

The event will showcase local performing arts groups throughout the day. There will be a large children’s art making tent, where children and their families can make various projects.

The FallFair Arts Festival Community Arts Project, titled “Share our Similarities, Celebrate our Differences” will serve to engage every participant at the event. Each participant will create a 4”x4” self portrait to leave for The Arts Alliance to create a community wide collage that will be hung at Deerfield Twp. Administrative offices and various local business have expressed and interest in displaying the collage.

This project will ultimately be housed in The Arts Alliance’s Arts Bungalow, where each summer, over 300 children from the community enjoy summer art camps.
