MONDAY Jonny Lee Miller Elementary 8PMon (2) (4) (5) 70th Emmy Awards

If you think political humor might be avoided during the television industry’s top ceremony, think again ... especially since Michael Che and Colin Jost are the hosts this time at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater. “Game of Thrones” leads the contenders with 22 nomination­s, followed closely by “SNL” itself and “Westworld” with 21 each. As usual, the presenters will include many stars of new fall series.

Season 6 ends on an apparent cliffhange­r in the conclusion of a two-part finale called “Whatever Remains, However Improbable.” Holmes and Watson (Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu) have overcome more than their share of challenges during their long profession­al and personal relationsh­ip, but their latest murder investigat­ion tests them as never before and ultimately threatens to destroy their friendship.

Season 13 will prove to be lucky for one of the still-standing hopefuls, but which one will be decided by what happens in tonight’s “Live Show Finals,” the last pre-finale telecast from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Then comes the hardest part: getting through a probably sleepless 24 hours before the winner of the $1 million grand prize is announced in Wednesday’s season finale. Expect some final impression­s from judges Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Mel B and Howie Mandel before viewers cast their final votes.

A shaky Penelope (Jessica Garza) tries to prepare herself to make the necessary sacrifice in a new episode called “The Urge to Purge.” Meanwhile, Rick and Jenna (Colin Woodell, Hannah Anderson) stop to ponder some of the “intangible­s” added to the cost of closing their business deal.

WEDNESDAY Sarayu Blue I Feel Bad 8PMon (26) Burden of Truth

In the course of pursuing a new lead, Joanna and Billy (Kristin Kreuk, Peter Mooney) make a horrifying discovery that reinforces their evidence against the industrial site in the new episode “Hang Together.” After they reveal their find, the defendant tries to coerce the sick girls to settle and drop the case.

10:02 PM on (2) (4) (5) I Feel Bad

Amy Poehler is an executive producer of this new comedy about a woman (Sarayu Blue, “No Tomorrow”) who appears to fulfill her various roles in life well, but passes off some of her obligation­s to others when she finds it necessary, whether on the home or work fronts. Though she does indeed feel bad in a lot of circumstan­ces, she gradually learns to accept her imperfecti­ons. The cast also includes Paul Adelstein (“Prison Break”) and Johnny Pemberton (“Son of Zorn”).

THURSDAY Danielle Savre Station 19 8PMon (19) (45) The Gifted

Hoping to take his sadistic Hound program national, the sinister Dr. Campbell (Garret Dillahunt) attends a summit with a deadly anti-mutant emphasis, so members of the Mutant HQ team mobilize to stop him at all costs in an encore telecast of the two-hour Season 1 finale. After she learns more about her own past, Polaris (Emma Dumont) make an important decision that could have wide-ranging consequenc­es.

Continuing his progress as a new firefighte­r, Ben (Jason George) scores an achievemen­t that his peers celebrate in an encore of the Season 1 finale, “Not Your Hero.” The decision on who will be named 19’s new captain is delayed by the immediate need to battle a blaze in a skyscraper, leaving several lives in peril. Chandra Wilson guest stars in her “Grey’s Anatomy” role. Danielle Savre also stars.

FRIDAY Hannah John-Kamen Killjoys 8PMon (26) Masters of Illusion

They’ve got magic to do, just for you, in a new episode called “All About the Benjamins and One Switcheroo,” as host Dean Cain welcomes a diverse slate of illusionis­ts and sleight-of-hand masters to perform in front of a live studio audience. Among the performers aiming to keep their spectators amused and entertaine­d are Shoot Ogawa, Jarrett and Raja and Tommy Wind.

10 PM on (SYFY) Killjoys

This space adventure wraps up Season 4 with a finale called “Sporemaged­don,” as Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) tries to prepare herself for a confrontat­ion in greenspace to keep her nemesis, The Lady, from breaking through into the Quad and the universe at large. Meanwhile, buried in her scientific work, Zeph (Kelly McCormack) makes a horrifying discovery that poses a threat to Westerley.

SATURDAY Sally Hawkins The Shape of Water 8PMon (HBO) 3:10 AM on (HBO) Movie: The Shape of Water

Guillermo del Toro won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a British Academy Film Award for his direction of this dark, lyrical 2017 fantasy, which also took the Oscar as the year’s best picture. Sally Hawkins also got an Oscar nod for playing a mute custodian at a government facility who falls in love with an amphibious humanoid creature (Doug Jones) who has been brought in for study.

10 PM on (OWN) 1AMon (OWN) Mind Your Business With Mahisha

Mahisha visits a small popcorn company that’s suffering from a huge production problem in the new episode “It’s Poppin’ Off at Aunt Emma’s Popcorn.” This niche company is struggling for its very survival, but what seems like an obvious solution to Mahisha is being stonewalle­d by the stubborn owner of the business.

SUNDAY Angela Bassett 9-1-1 8PMon (19) (45) 9-1-1

With tempers already frayed by temperatur­es on the hottest day of the year, the first responders struggle to maintain their cool while responding to a string of harrowing events around the city in part one of the Season 2 premiere, “Under Pressure.” The incidents include an eruption of road rage involving a van load of tourists, a veteran who has a live grenade embedded in his leg and an emergency at an automotive repair shop. Angela Bassett and Jennifer Love Hewitt star.

9PMon (6) (9) (22) The $100,000 Pyramid

Season 3 of this Michael Strahan-hosted game show reboot wraps with a two-hour finale that opens with a face-off between Jenna Fischer and Oliver Hudson (“Splitting Up Together”). That first hour also includes a rivalry between two U.S. Olympic athletes, figure skater Johnny Weir and gymnast Gabby Douglas.
