Kettering man booked in sex case
A Kettering man is facing several charges in Indiana after he attempted to engage in sexual acts with two undercover deputies posing as teenage girls, investigators said Wednesday.
Jacob C. Francisco, 20, communicated with two teenage girls who he believed were 15 and 13 years old through a social media site, Captain Tom Pullins of the Randolph County, Indiana Sheriff ’s Office said in a media release. Those two teens were in reality investigators with the sheriff ’s office, Pullins said.
Francisco traveled to Randolph County on Tuesday where deputies arrested him on multiple charges connected to attempting to engage in sexual acts with minors, investigators said.
“Randolph County has previously investigated a dangerous trend where minors are meeting people online and then meeting up with them in person,” Pullins said in the release. “The Sheriff ’s Department decided to take a proactive approach to enforcing laws on those adults who were trying to take advantage of minors in the community.”
Francisco remains booked in the Randolph County Jail on initial charges of attempted child solicitation, attempted child molestation, attempted child exploitation, attempted sexual misconduct with a child, and attempted vicarious sexual gratification, investigators said.
