- STAFF REPORT

The city of Kettering Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts announces a call for applications for the 2019 Program Advisory Committee. This volunteer group of residents is focused on providing feedback and evaluation for programs and services that the department provides on a yearly basis.

This committee not only helps improve programming, it’s also a fun way for members to learn new skills, focus on their wellness goals, meet people with similar interests and discover how much the city has to offer. Committee members register or drop in to programs, events or facilities to evaluate all aspects of the experience and fill out online surveys about it. Each quarter, PAC members also have a special concentration area to review and evaluate in more depth. They provide a comprehensive evaluation associated with that experience, which means registering for programs, dropping in to open activities and visiting facilities or parks. Members also attend three PAC committee meetings throughout the year. During the meetings, all PAC members share feedback regarding their experiences and provide input for our Park Board and staff. Their comments and suggestions are reviewed and analyzed by the PRCA Innovation Team.

Terms are for one year with the option to renew for an additional year. Committee members enjoy a $400 household credit, plus a complimentary individual fitness pass during their term and work to make a positive, lasting impact on parks, recreation and cultural arts programs within the Kettering community. Requirements of the program and a downloadable application and complete details are available at www.playkettering.org/program-advisory-committee.
