Five receive promotions

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office promoted five employees to more efficientl­y manage jail operations.

Lt. Michael Marion has been promoted to Captain and will serve as the Jail Administra­tor. Marion is a 17-year veteran of the Miami County Sheriff ’s Office.

Lt. Nathan Collett has been promoted to Assistant Jail Administra­tor. Collett is a 19-year veteran of the Miami County Sheriff ’s Office.

Lt. Dawn Thomas has been promoted to Assistant Jail Administra­tor. Thomas has served with the Miami County Sheriff ’s Office for 21 years.

Sgt. Lee Larimore has been promoted to Lieutenant. Larimore has served with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years.

Lastly, Sgt. Jeffrey Coats has been promoted to Lieutenant. Coats has served with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for 17 years. expanded in an effort to reach out to local colleges and universiti­es and attending job fairs.

The sheriff ’s office is committed to equal opportunit­y and increasing recruitmen­t activity in order to reach larger numbers of qualified candidates, especially during recent competitiv­e job markets. It uses the National Testing Network to administer applicant testing and assist with building eligibilit­y lists.
