City wants to be TV makeover selection
Miamisburg MIAMISBURG — is campaigning to be featured town on a Hulu show this season and get a $500,000 makeover.
The city is seeking to be picked for Season 4 of Small Business Revolution, a show that picks a small town and puts money into revitalizing it.
“Each season, America chooses a winning town, we choose the featured small businesses, and Deluxe and a host of celebrity experts give them the makeover of a lifetime — all on our quest to put Main Street back on the map,” according to the show’s website.
“We’re on the hunt for the Season 4 town, and your favorite town could be it.”
Previous winners have all come from nearby states: Wabash, Ind., Bristol Bor- ough, Pa., and Alton, Ill.
Nominating letters can be up to 500 words. Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. CST Friday, according to the show’s website.
The city of Miamisburg is asking residents, neighbors, family and friends to help nominate the town that is celebrating its bicentennial this year by logging on to the show’s website at https:// www.deluxe.com/small-business-revolution/main-street/ season-four/.
Miamisburg Community Development Director Katie Frank offered some suggestions about the city to include in the nomination. Among them:
■ Miamisburg — “one and only in the world;” ■ Re-energized downtown; ■ Celebrated 200 years in 2018;
■ Viking Pride; ■ Community Spirit; and ■ Star City: 5 Points of Transportation-Road, Railroad, River, Trolley, Canal.
