The Dayton man who exposed himself inside the Cornerstone of Centerville Kroger and touched a woman with his genitals in late August will spend a week in jail
Mitchell A. Cowan III, 22, was convicted of public indecency and a disorderly conduct was dismissed after he allegedly exposed himself to a 69-year-old customer at the Cornerstone Kroger and rubbed his genitals on her arm, according to court records and police.
Cowan fled the store, but was located a short time later after a warrant was issued for his arrest and a co-worker reported him being at work in Moraine.
Cowan also will have to pay a $250 fine and will have to get treatment, court records showed. Additionally, Cowan was ordered to stay out of the Kroger store in the future and cannot have contact with the victim in the case.
The 22-year-old also has another pending public indecency case for a similar incident in Sugarcreek Twp.
In that case, he allegedly performed a sex act on himself in a shopping center on Wilmington Pike near Clyo Road the same day as the Centerville incident.
“Video surveillance of the suspect and his vehicle was located and found to match the suspect and vehicle in an indecent exposure arrest that occurred approximately 45 minutes later...several miles down the road in Sugarcreek Twp,” a statement of facts read. flames had spread to a neighboring car.
Police say witnesses reportedly saw an unidentified male speeding away from the area in a vehicle around the same time the fires occurred.
Authorities set a perimeter and conducted a brief search of the area, but did not locate the individual.
Both the truck and car suffered damage as a result of the fire, with the truck being considered a total loss.
