3 Ohio men charged with conspiring to produce, view child pornography
Three Licking County men are facing federal criminal charges accusing them of making and viewing child pornography.
The men are accused of sexually abusing toddlers, making videos of the abuse and sharing those videos.
The men had been previously charged in May, but additional charges were unsealed Tuesday.
David E. Fairchild, 45, of Kirkersville; Jesse G. Szuba, 31, of Newark; and Mike Allen, 36, of Heath are all charged with conspiring to produce child pornography and other charges.
Court records show the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task force received a tip in January about a video involving sexual abuse of a female toddler.
The video had been uploaded by a person with the username “David TwistedBottomFreak Fairchild,” according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Fairchild is accused of engaging in sexual abuse of the child, who was born in 2016, and creating videos of the abuse, which he then shared with Szuba.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a release that Fairchild and Szuba met through Craigslist and communicated about sexually abusing toddlers.
“During their communications, they exchanged child pornography files and discussed plans to engage in various sex acts with each other and the victims,” the release said.
Szuba also is accused of attempting to engage in sexual abuse of a boy who is under the age of 5. Allen also received child pornography files from Fairchild, according to court records.
Szuba had previously pleaded guilty to advertising for child pornography, which carries a potential sentence of between 15 and 30 years in prison.
The new charges against Szuba and Fairchild carry a potential sentence of between 15 and 30 years in federal prison.
