Medical center opens food pantry for veterans
The Dayton VA Medical Center, in partnership with the Dayton Foodbank, has opened a food pantry for veterans in need at the Dayton VA Medical Center campus inside building 305.
The purpose of this event is to address hunger within the veteran community. Veterans do not have to be currently enrolled with the VA to take advantage of this service. The food pantry operation will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 18, 2018, and Jan. 8 and 22, 2019.
Veterans are advised to bring a photo ID and a copy of their DD-214 to utilize the food pantry. Need is determined by income guidelines set by the Dayton Foodbank.
