Galois Inc., based in Portland, Ore., has been awarded an $8,589,384 cost-plus-fixedfee contract for “merged-analysis-to-prevent-exploits software,” along with testing and demonstration work. AFRL is based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and Galois also has an office in downtown Dayton’s Innovation District at 444 E. 2nd. St. This contract provides for a software system that will enable computers and humans to collaboratively reason over software artifacts with the goal of finding zero-day vulnerabilities at a scale and speed appropriate for a complex software ecosystem, the Department of Defense said in an announcement on the contract. Work will be performed in Portland, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 2021.

Two southwest Ohio agency liquor stores will offer a limited number of all eight bottles of The Game of Thrones Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection for sale at regular retail prices Dec. 18. The rare scotches will be sold starting at 9 a.m. at Arrow Wine & Spirits’ Far Hills store at Far Hills Avenue and Dorothy Lane in Kettering, and at Jungle Jim’s Dixie Highway store in Fairfield. Those two stores are among a dozen statewide selling the special spirits. There will be no raffle or lottery for the scotch collection; the bottles will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Created to commemorate the eighth and final season of the HBO series Game of Thrones, The GOT Single Malt Scotch Whisky Collection features eight limited-edition scotches that are all new to the U.S. Each scotch is paired with one of the Houses of Westeros. There will be a limit of one bottle per scotch house per person, or a total of eight bottles.
