YMCA for free

- STAFF REPORT STAFF REPORT

If you’ve been wondering what all is available at Countryside YMCA, now’s your chance to come in and try YMCA fitness classes for free. With five fitness studios – including a designated yoga and Pilates studio and a designated spin studio – now is a great time to explore the Y. Through Dec. 31, adult fitness classes are free at the Lebanon and Landen Countryside YMCA locations. The Y is also open on Jan. 1 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and limited free fitness.

“This is a chance for members to try something different for free. And potential members can also come into the Y these weeks and try our fitness classes,” said Jasmine Lee Countryside YMCA Director of Health and Wellness. The Y offers Pilates, yoga, Barre, TRX, boot camp and more. The Y offers classes specifically for beginners as well as classes for those with an established workout routine.

Not sure where to start? New members can participate in complimentary member coaching, a one-on-one coaching experience that helps new members come up with a personalized wellness plan that fits their goals, interests and lifestyle. This is followed by periodic check-ins and provides the guidance and support needed for new members to get the most of their membership.

Countryside YMCA has two locations. The Lebanon location at 1699 Deerfield Road is a 230,000-square-foot facility, built on 126 acres of land and is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. The Landen location at 2894 US 22/3, in Maineville, is a smaller facility designed to serve Deerfield Township residents with fitness opportunities, youth classes and a preschool. Check the website www.countrysideymca.org for more information. Health Recovery Services of Warren & Clinton Counties will hold its Executive Succession Planning Committee meeting Wednesday. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 212 Cook Road in Lebanon.

SUBMITTED start of collection.

Do not bag leaves and leave them out for the city’s collection crews. Any bagged leaves will be bypassed. Leaves must be raked out to the tree lawn or curb for ease of pick-up by the leaf vacuums. Please rake leaves as close to the curb as possible. Bagged leaves will be left for Waste Management to pick up as part of their yard waste collection.

Once the program begins, leaf collection schedule updates will be provided on the city website. To see the collection map and schedule, visit https://www.cityofspringboro.com/162/Leaf-Program. For more information, call 937-748-4352.
