Madison’s Story: From playing different sports when she was little to playing soccer and running track throughout her high school career, sports have always been a huge part of Madison Ames’ life. As Madison navigated athletics growing up, she started to also take an interest in the medical field. She began learning more about medicine and its different careers; soon, athletic training started to stand out to her. It was a perfect combination of her favorite things, sports and medicine. While at Stebbins, she was able to gain hands-on preparation for a career in athletic training while she was participating in the Exercise Science and Sports Medicine program. Madison would like to thank Mrs. Boyce, Stebbins High School’s Exercise Science and Sports Medicine instructor and Megan Davidson, Stebbins High School’s athletic trainer, for assisting her with experiences that allowed her to confirm her goal of becoming an athletic trainer.
Future Aspirations: Upon graduating from the Wright State University in 2022, Madison plans on taking the BOC and becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer. She would like to obtain employment with a hospital and eventually become an athletic trainer in a high school setting.
