TODAY FOR AMERICA: PAINTINGS FROM THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF DESIGN:

Noon to 5 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Dayton Art Institute, 456 Belmonte Park, N., Dayton. Exhibition of 100 paintings by 78 artists tells the story of the National Academy, from the early 19th century into the 21st. Features masterwork­s by many of its prominent members along with portraits of several of the artists. Included are works by some of the most recognizab­le names in American art.

WRIGHT STATE THEATRE PRESENTS STEPHEN SONDHEIM’S A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC:

2 to 4:30 p.m. today, 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 8 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Wright State Festival Theatre, 3640 Colonel Glen Highway, Fairborn. Show runs through April 7. Musical filled with period costumes, elegant dance, passionate romance and features the hit song “Send in the Clowns.”

“THE TIMELINE SHOW” YELLOW SPRINGS THEATER-PAST TO PRESENT:

6 to 8:30 p.m. today through Saturday at John Bryan Community Center, 2nd Floor, 100 Dayton St., Yellow Springs. Show runs through June 30. Featuring a private collection of Center Stage head shots by Ron Siemer. David Neuhardt has created a Yellow Springs Theater Timeline. Show may be seen from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon.-Sun. through June 30.

MONDAY DEBRA DIXON’S TRANSITION­S ART EXHIBIT:
