The Board of Trustees of the American Veterans Heritage Center (AVHC) announces the selection of two new leaders to serve the organization. Judge Walter Rice will begin serving as Chairman of the Board, and
Glenn A. Costie will assume the duties as President.
Judge Rice is a longtime supporter of the historic Dayton VA Medical Center campus in his role as President of AVHC. In his role as Chair- man of the Board will assure continuity of the organization’s mission.

and retired CEO/Medical
Center Director of the Dayton VA Medical Center, will
continue to serve his passion for veterans and the historic campus in his new role as President of AVHC.
AVHC is a non-profit (501c3) corporation with a mission to Preserve, Inspire
a nd Educate the historic Dayton VA Medical Center campus, formally known and the Dayton Soldiers’
Home. Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton welcomes Heather Hughes as the Medical Practice Manager of the Charles Drew Health Center. Hughes is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of this busy patient care center which has four physicians and a nurse practitioner. She brings a wealth of clinical, leadership, and management experience to the position; having spent the past eight years as Director of Clinical Services and Director of Operations.
Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton is a non-profit federally qualified health center organization with 6 health centers and a mobile health unit serving patients in the region.
