Warped Wing planning to sell beer in Cincinnati
Warped Wing Brewing Company announced Wednesday it has entered into a partnership agreement with a Cincinnati-area beer distributor to sell the Dayton-based brewery’s beers and service its accounts in the Queen City.
The agreement with Ohio Eagle Distributing, which is located in West Chester Twp., will boost Warped Wing’s profile and presence in the Cincinnati market, according to Nick Bowman, vice president of sales and marketing and co-founder of Warped Wing.
“Cincinnati is a competitive market,” Bowman told this news outlet. “Over the last five years, we reached the conclusion that partnering with a distributor is our best option to succeed in that market.”
Warped Wing self-distributes its beers in the Dayton and Columbus areas, and has entered into agreements with other distributors in the Toledo, Findlay and Bowling Green markets to make its brews available in northwest Ohio, Bowman said.
In a release, Devyn Dugger, president of Ohio Eagle Distributing, said the Warped Wing brand “represents the very best that Ohio has to offer. Their dedication to quality and community, along with their love for Dayton, is admirable.”
Bowman said in a release that the partnership with Ohio Eagle “allows us to focus on where our passion lies. And that is continuing to make great beer.”
“Finding the right distribution partner was a long, exhaustive search. But it was worth it. Ohio Eagle shares the same vision that we have. Ohio Eagle is even opening up Hamilton County as a new distribution footprint as a part of the launch. This is a big commitment,” Bowman said.
Bowman and Warped Wing announced three weeks ago it would add a second location with a brewery, tap room and restaurant in downtown Springboro.
