Yard waste drop-off

Greene County Environmen­tal Services is accepting organic yard waste from Greene County residents. Environmen­tal Services is located at 2145 Greene Way Blvd. Xenia. Operating hours when residents can drop-off yard waste are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Phone contact is 937-562-5925 or visit www.co.greene.oh.us/ recycle.

Montgomery County Transfer Facility will allow Greene County residents to drop off yard waste. The address is 1001 Encrete Lane, Moraine. The facility is open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Phone contact is 937-225-4999 or visit www.mcsed.org.

At Greene and Montgomery Counties, residents may drop off yard waste that is brush or firewoodsi­ze.Maximumsiz­eof the brush is 4 inches in diameter and 8 foot long. Firewood maximum size is 14 inches in diameter and 18 inches long. There is no charge.

Private compost facilities will accept organic yard waste at standard charges. The operations are Dean’s Eco Green, 1290 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn - 937-6088010 and Tom’s Mulch, 2113 Ferry Road, Bellbrook – 937848-3422.

Constructi­on and demolition debris can be taken to Xenia Demolition Landfill. The address is 610 Dayton-Xenia Road, Xenia. The phone number is 937-3722978. There is a charge.

Household trash plus constructi­on and demolition debris will be accepted at the Montgomery County Transfer Facility for a fee.
