Chamber of Commerce

- STAFF REPORT

The board of directors for the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce created a Tornado Business Recovery Fund for chamber members.

The Chamber intends to support its affected members through this long recovery process. This is another tangible way to show Beavercreek Strong and fulfill the mission of Linking Businesses with Community.

Dave Dennis Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram provided a significant gift to this fund, adding to what the Beavercreek Chamber board has already set aside. Dave Dennis redirected its major sponsorship of the annual Golf Outing, the first business to do so since the outing was canceled, to focus attention on continued recovery efforts.

Other businesses and individuals have since joined them, and you can see the entire list on the Tornado Business Recovery Fund website. Any business interested in supporting the fund should contact the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber Tornado Business Recovery Fund offers a onetime grant up to $2,000 for Beavercreek Chamber member businesses affected by the Memorial Day tornadoes in the Dayton and Beavercreek areas. A qualified business must be a chamber member in good standing prior to May 27, 2019.

A chamber business can use this grant to recover costs related to either property damage (capital assets, equipment, inventory insurance gaps, etc.) or economic damage (loss of business, payroll recovery, etc.).

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Beavercreek Chamber office or via info@beavercreekchamber. org. The chamber will notify all applicants by Aug. 19 and distribute grants no later than Aug. 31.
