From Detroit, CNN anchors Dana Bash, Don Lemon and Jake Tapper moderate the second in a series of debates among candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination. As with June’s initial debate, the event is split over two nights (concluding Wednesday) to accommodate up to 20 hopefuls who have met the qualifications set by the Democratic National Committee, based on polling and financial donations. Since the first debate in Miami, U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell of California has withdrawn as a candidate.
60 Days In: Narcoland, 10 PM on A&E; 2 AM on A&E:
This new investigative docu-series follows six undercover participants who embed themselves in trafficking hot spots along the Interstate 65 drug corridor that encompasses six counties in Kentucky and Indiana to get a first-hand perspective on the harsh toll the narcotics trade is taking on Middle America. The series premiere, “Fight for the Heartland,” introduces the diverse group, which come to the project strategically to tackle the drug crisis from multiple angles.
Air Jaws Strikes Back, 10:01 PM on DSC; 1:01 AM on DSC:
Shark expert Chris Fallows leads a research team to explore a newly discovered bloody feeding ground for sharks in the waist-deep waters at the foot of a 200-foot cliff. Here, the denizens of a seal colony desperately try to fend off attacks from great white sharks, which in many cases involves the seals teaming up to make ferocious counter-attacks on their finny nemeses.
