What emerges are insights into how everyone came together and surmounted staggering challenges to achieve a moment of blissful unity.

This Emmy-winning (and alcohol-fueled) sketch comedy series issues a last-call on its sixth hit season with a finale called “Bad Blood,” which opens with the story of how IrishAmerican cook Mary Mallon infected so many people with typhoid — despite being completely free of the disease’s symptoms herself — that she earned the unhappy nickname “Typhoid Mary.” Another sketch relates how Arsinoe, the kid sister of Cleopatra, was no slouch herself when it came to scheming her way in and out of power.
