We Are the Dream: The Kids of the Oakland MLK Oratorical Fest, 7 PM on HBO; 3:35 AM on HBO: Oscar winner Mahershala Ali (“Green Book”) is an executive producer on this touching documentar­y filmed during the Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Festival, an annual event at which hundreds of young people from across the United States perform a combinatio­n of published and original poetry and speeches. The film follows top-placing students from the Oakland Unified School District as they compete.

Nic (Emily VanCamp) is forced to work with Cain (Morris Chestnut) again as Red Rock finally opens the doors to its new neurosurge­ry center, but she and the rest of the staff almost immediatel­y discover that the center is a far cry from what had been promised in the new episode “Last Shot.” Mina and The Raptor (Shaunette Renée Wilson, MalcolmJam­al Warner) get an unexpected result while working with a new surgeon on a heart transplant. Bruce Greenwood and Matt Czuchry also star; Alex Hernandez guest stars.

Frontline, 9 PM on Ch. 16 and Ch. 48; 1 AM on Ch. 16 and Ch. 48: The new “Amazon Empire: The Rise and Reign of Jeff Bezos” explores the business dynasty created by this New Mexico-born entreprene­ur. Bezos has grown his “etail” venture into a corporatio­n that is unpreceden­ted in the history of capitalism, delivering a virtually endless line of products, entertainm­ent and technology innovation­s to online customers. Amazon’s staggering expansion into all corners of American life has come at the cost of safety and quality of life for many of its employees, however, its critics say.
